A leader in auction management software, Bidpath supplies online bidding platforms to auctioneers, retailers and manufacturers in 27 countries.

As well as helping its clients maximise revenue, Bidpath is a strong advocate of the role auctions and its software will have in bringing about the circular economy.

This is central to the company’s design, sales and marketing initiatives as it promotes auction-driven circularity including the resale of: high value items such as works of art and collectibles; second-hand items for reuse and/repair leading to a second lifecycle; upcycled items and works created using end-of-life objects; and items for disassembly of parts and materials for recycling.

In addition, Bidpath’s technology and support services aim to help clients take control of reverse supply chains – for example diverting returns and finding new homes for excess inventory and capital assets.

By ensuring that its tools find buyers for items that might otherwise go to landfill, Bidpath promotes the circular economy, helps its clients drive down their environmental impact and reduces the need for industries to take resources from the natural environment.

The same commitment to sustainability has been instilled within Bidpath’s own operations at its five locations in the US, UK, Germany and Australia. Joining the GreenCode Accreditation process and becoming a Green tier member, Bidpath is able to demonstrate to its clients how sustainability principles govern its management approach, policies and measures across pollution, energy, transport, water, waste, procurement and biodiversity.

In 2023, single-use plastics were eliminated from the company, and it has published its commitment to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by 2030.
